To all our Customers and Friends,

We hope that everyone kept save during the lock down.

Thank you for your patience. The wait is over. The region got the green light today to move to stage 2 which will allow us to open the patio this Wednesday, June 24 with regular business hours.

During the lockdown we have been working on guide lines for the reopening:

  • Reservations are recommended to allow us to better prepare for your arrival and the number of guests will be kept to 6 per table for the time being.
  • Access will be denied if you show any symptoms of COVID-19
  • Face masks are highly encouraged to be worn when entering and can be removed once seated. However, they should be worn when entering the restaurant or visiting the restrooms and when leaving the restaurant
  • You will be asked to sanitize your hands when entering and the host will assist you with that.
  • We will have to take your name and phone number when you arrive.
  • Please wait to be seated and please follow social distancing rules while waiting.
  • Please follow the signs and decals that have been placed throughout the restaurant
  • You will be encouraged to take a picture of the cake and ice cream displays. That way we can minimize the crowd around the display cases. Each dessert does have a label to make it easier for you to place your dessert order when ready.
  • Once seated you will find a table tent on top of your table with a QR Code on it. You can simply scan the code with your mobile phone to give you quick access to the menus. Printed menus are still available upon request. Printed menus will be sanitized after each use and printed daily special menus will be discarded after each use.
  • Your table settings will be provided once you have placed your order. Sugar, salt and pepper will be provided upon request.
  • All beverages will be poured at the Server stations (excluding wine by the bottle and 9oz pours)
  • Refill coffee will be served in a new cup.
  • Unfortunately, there will be no bread basket. Instead, the server will come to your table with our home-made fresh bread and place it directly on your side plate upon request.
  • We still accept cash as payment. However, debit or credit is preferred at this time. Hopefully your server provided exceptional service and you may want to reward your server with a tip. To avoid touching the debit machine you may want to let your server know a percentage of the tip you would like to leave and the server can enter it for you. You would simply have to tap your card without touching the device.
  • Please let your server know when you are ready to leave to help with a safe exit. When possible please exit the patio through the stair case leading to the side walk. That we can minimize the risk to come in contact with customers waiting to be seated.

All of our Staff have been trained to provide a safe environment for your visit. Among other measures they have been instructed to:

  • Hands have to be sanitized every time before the enter the dining room and when leaving the dining room
  • Table and chairs will be sanitized after each use. Please forgive us if you have to wait longer than normal to be seated.
  • Debit machine will be sanitized after each use.
  • We have also invested in a Sanitizer Machine to spray down the entire restaurant and Washrooms as often as possible

Your feedback and recommendations are very welcome.  Thank you for your patience and hope to see you soon!

Sincerely,

Franz, Esther and the entire Apricot Tree Team
